#24 Movie of 2023: Blue Bettle. As someone born and raised in Latin América, I can finally say that a movie actually took the time to have a decent representaon of our culture. As a DC fan, the mix of drama, action, and heart is there. Entertaining. 4/5.

#22 Movie of 2023: Elemental. Had this one been called differently, it would have made a lot more sense. Why elements when only fire & water are at play? A clever love story, yes, but a movie that had potential and was limited. 2 and a half stars out of 5

Needed to keep my mind off things for a while so I thought: "Why not by replaying Final Fantasy XII again?". And here I am, happily playing one of the best games ever made. Everyone has their own therapeutic games, and this is the one for me. Excellency.

#46 Game beaten in 2023 is: Resistance Retribution. Now this does feel a lot more like a sequel. The narrator is back. There is another plot unfolding. Characters are not just there, and the final boss was nice. Graphics and control scheme: superb. 4.5/5.

This year I resumed watching movies that are not releasing right now, but that I once thought of watching and couldn't. Napoleon Dynamite is one of those. My social circle knows that I like independent films a lot, so this was recommended and: amazing.

#21 Movie of 2023: Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse. Marvel is not my thing, but Spiderman is an exception. Had to watch the first one to remind myself of the story, and I liked that one better. However, this is animation done right. 3/5.

#45 Game beaten in 2023 is: Resistance 2. The first one ended well, and while this began decently strong, something went off after a few hours. Why treat the protagonist in such a way? Have an antagonist that doesn't cut it? 3/5 because I like the series.

#3 TV Show of 2023: Heartstopper (Season 2). This may be of the few out of the bunch love series out there that I'll ever watch, and the only corny one, at that. Heck, I even started 'Sex Education' out of boredom so yeah, more TV shows for me. 5/5.

#44 Game beaten in 2023 is: Spelunky. 1000+ deaths, a lot of swearing, and laughing out of how I managed to mess it up sometimes, I can say I did enjoy this game. However, that's enough roguelikes for me to experience, at least for some time. 3.5/5.

#43 Game beaten in 2023 is: Pikmin. It's curious how I'm afraid of RTS, and though this was no different, I just couldn't stop playing. Beautiful and scary at the same time, Nintendo's brilliant level design shows. 521 brave pikmin were lost. 4.5/5. Gem.

#19 Movie of 2023: Resident Evil Death Island. I was wrong about this for thinking it would be yet another action packed, not caring about lore movie, but it is really decent. There's this tiny depth to the characters (Jill rocks), so yeah: good time. 4/5

#42 Game beaten in 2023 is: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. I remember this game making quite the positive fuss back in 2014, and now I see why. Following what its predecessor brought about and expanding upon it: great. Wish it had been longer. 4/5.

#41 Game beaten in 2023 is: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. I had my doubts about how this would play on the handheld, but other than the graphical downgrade, the fun is still there. Also, I wanted to get used to the Y/X/A/B and left stick scheme. 3.5/5.

#18 Movie of 2023: Suzume. I don't watch anime but japanese animated movies I watch from time to time. The art here is excellent, plus the freedom and soul only animation has. The plot is ok, but that scene with the crying girl at the end is gold. 4/5.

#40 Beaten in 2023 is: Donkey Kong 64. Part country wannabe, part 3D platformer with a lot of potential, I don't understand why collecting LOTS of stuff + backtracking is any fun. Getting to the ending was anything but climatic. Missed opportunity. 2.5/5.

#39 Game beaten in 2023 is: Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes. I remembered why I hadn't tried this one before: I wasn't interested. Graphically, is ok. But why all the matrix cinematic choreographies? This doesn't do much to validate its existence. 3/5.

#38 Game beaten in 2023 is: New Super Mario Bros. U. The last 2D mario game I played was NSMB2 for 3DS and my experience wasn't the best one. That changed here, however, as the joy, ingenuity, and fun factor is guaranteed. Wonder has shoes to fill. 4.5/5.

#37 Game beaten in 2023 is: Puppeteer. The PS3 had gems even until the release of its successor. Japan Studio (rest in peace) always delivered. The creative gameplay, voice acting, and a funny story makes Puppeteer a nice time to be had, indeed. 4/5.

#16 Movie of 2023: Barbie. Finally! A movie that understands feminism, it's funny, direct, and doesn't hold back. 4 and a half stars out of 5. #17 Movie of 2023: Oppenheimer. What can I say? I cried during the bomb explosion scene. Not 5, but 10/5.

#15 Movie of 2023 is: Asteroid City. I get the director's intentions: to make a pretty film, but at what cost? The cast saves it from being something I can only describe as a missed opportunity, really. I know it doesn't take it seriously, but c'mon 1.5/5

#14 Movie of 2023 is: Flaming Hot. 2023 continues its streak of well done biopics about products. The formula might be already known, but the execution is fun to watch. 4 stars and a half out of 5.

#13 Movie of 2023 is: Nimona. The fact that Disney canceled it but another studio did bring it to us, free for any creative limitations was reason alone for me to watch this. Intelligent, full of heart. A movie made from movie lovers, all right. 5/5.

There are tragedies, and then there's me playing Spelunky. New level of dumb unlocked. Gotta laugh not to cry or swear (more than I already have, anyways). Sorry for double posting today.

#36 Game beaten in 2023 is: Justice League Heroes. After watching 'The Flash' and loving it, I wanted to play more DC games. This PSP port looks very decent compared to the PS2 one, plus the game is entirely the same. The voice acting is top notch. 4/5.

#12 Movie of 2023 is: Beau is Afraid. I know what happened here: the director made a movie only he could understand. Phoenix and the woman who plays his mother on the movie nailed it, but everything else is just hard to follow. 2/5 due to the performances
