Will Starfield have mod support? Answered

Will Starfield have mod support?

Starfield aims to be the next major Bethesda RPG, allowing players to take the ideas and systems from games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim into space. One of the most important parts of a Bethesda game, though, is its burgeoning mod community. Will Starfield benefit from the same mod support as its older siblings?

Does Starfield have mod support?

Fortunately, Bethesda already confirmed that, indeed, Starfield will have mod support on day one. As soon as the game comes out, players will have the opportunity to create and download mods for the game.

Bethesda stated well before launch in 2021 how the game will officially support mods via the game director and executive producer, Todd Howard, himself during a Reddit AMA. Howard noted how “the modding community has been with us for 20 years. We love what they do and hope to see more make a career out of it.”

Now, as for when modders actually create mods for the game, that remains to be seen. Since it appears to be a gigantic RPG with more than 1000 planets to explore, it could take some time for modders in the community to get their feet wet with the game and ready to create content for it.

If mods for past Bethesda games like the upcoming impressive Fallout London mod are anything to go by, the skies are literally the limit for the potential Starfield mods.

Where to download Starfield mods

It could take some time after launch for mods to drop for the game, but we already know exactly where you’ll be able to get them when they finally release. Popular mod website, NexusMods, already has an entire Starfield hub ready for the impending release of the game.

You can go ahead and bookmark the site to check back and see when the latest mods become available for the massive space RPG. The mod hub includes more than a place for players to download the latest mods as soon as they release.

You can also find the community’s dedicated Discord and other social pages for any budding modders in the community. If you want to jump in and make your own modification to the game, perhaps to change a gameplay feature you don’t like or add content you wish you could see, there are resources on the hub to help you out. Suffice it to say, players have plenty of content to look forward to for Starfield.
