When does Hardcore WoW Classic release?

Find out when you can start your official Hardcore WoW Classic adventure.

When does Hardcore WoW Classic release?

The long-awaited official Hardcore World of Warcraft Classic servers are finally here. Brave adventurers on these servers will have just one life. As such, this means death is permanent in these realms. If you die, there is no running back to your corpse and resurrecting. This includes Shaman Reincarnation and even Warlock Soulstones. Also, even though PvP is purely optional and requires you to flag for it, losing to other players in PvP still results in permanent death.

Instead, you will become a ghost able to traverse the world in ethereal form and communicate in-game with friends, but that’s it. As for your actual character, you can utilize a Free Character Move and transfer to a non-Hardcore Classic Era realm. However, in order to continue your Hardcore experience, you will have to create a new character.

For those interested in trying out the more challenging realms, Blizzard has released a full Rules of Engagement post in regards to the special servers.
