Like other recent From Software games, Armored Core 6 has an optional online component that players can interact with. The good news is that you aren’t forced into it! The entirety of Armored Core 6‘s campaign is playable offline: here’s how to do that if you’re so inclined.
You have the option of logging in right at the main menu or toggling it via system settings
After booting up Armored Core 6, the game will try to connect to the Armored Core game servers. You have the option of stopping the process in its tracks now or turning it off later. To access the online/offline settings, head to the system menu, then select “network settings.”
You’ll be able to toggle the following options:
- Matchmaking region
- Voice chat
- Display player name
- Launch setting
- Software usage agreement
- Privacy policy
- Data usage agreement
The primary toggle you want to focus on here is the “launch setting.” You can set this to either connect to Armored Core‘s online servers immediately or just stop the process altogether and force the game to go offline in perpetuity. If you ever change your mind, repeat the process and go back to the system menu.
You could also go the old-fashioned route and turn off your network entirely if you want to play offline, which won’t impact your Armored Core 6 experience. You’ll still be able to play through the campaign, earn cash to upgrade your mech, and everything you’d be able to do in a regular Armored Core game. Thank goodness!
