The Spring of Courage in Tears of the Kingdom

A place to pray

The Spring of Courage in Tears of the Kingdom is a place for Link to reconcile and pray to the goddess. However, it’s also an area that’s hard to spot. It was covered in rain and clouds for me, so you’ll want to look carefully for this one.

Here’s the Spring of Courage location in Tears of the Kingdom.

The exact Spring of Courage location in Tears of the Kingdom

To access the Spring of Courage, you’ll want to find the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. It’s east of Lake Hylia and is located in the West Necluda region.

Once you arrive at the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower, head southeast to find the Jiukoum ShrineIf you go south from here, you’ll see a swamp area below. Glide down and then turn 180 degrees to find a cave. The entrance looks like a mouth with sharp teeth. You’ll also see a big glow from the end of the cave. Run up to it, and you’ve now found the Spring of Courage location (0875, -2360, 0018).

How to finish Goddess Statue of Courage side quest

When you speak to the Spring of Courage’s statue, it will ask you to sense the Mother Goddess statue in a vast canyon. Look at the Adventure Log, and it will give you a yellow circular marker to follow. Activate the quest, and then a marker will show on your mini-map. It’s north of the Kiuyoyou Shrine at the end of the canyon in between your location and Snowfield Stable.

When you arrive at the edge of the canyon, you’ll notice some ruins and a giant rock at the end with a black slate near its top. Turn around and follow down the ruins. You’ll reach a temple entrance below blocked by a massive rock. You’ll see the area is called the Forgotten Temple. Unfortunately, you can’t blast the huge rock with a bomb arrow.

Instead, go down another floor. There’s finally an opening. Make your way through the temple, taking out Bokoblins on the way. Here’s a tip: Use the Ascend ability to reach the higher platform in the first room. Afterwards, you’ll discover the Mayausiy Shrine in the second room. Keep going forward, and in the third room, you’ll see a huge, yet fallen goddess statue (-1108, 2632, -0084). It’s a sad sight.

Time to look for Farosh

Report back to the Spring of Courage location and speak to the statue to inform it of what you’ve seen. It will tell you to find the golden spirit dragon Farosh. You’ll need to get Farosh’s Claw and bring it to the Goddess Statue. It will help you restore the Mother Goddess statue.

You can spot this electrical dragon hovering near the southwest area of Hyrule. Specifically, you can find it around Gerudo Valley. Look around the Great Cliffs and Birida Lookout, where the chasm is. The dragon sometimes pops out from underground. Make a campfire and keep resting until you see it in the sky. You can also keep using the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower and launching into the air. Unfortunately, you’ll need a bit of luck for it to reveal itself in the world.

You don’t need to land on it, however, as we’re shooting the dragon’s claws. Get your bow and arrow out and add on a Keese Eyeball for a precise hit. It will drop Farosh’s Claw down below. It will sparkle in a yellow light as it goes down. Once you retrieve it, go back to the Spring of Courage location and drop the claw in the water nearby the statue. You’ll gain Topaz and finish the side quest.
