Phils Game/Pop Music Similarities #290 - Galop Viper

Greetings fellow game music lovers,

another short entry and it features the last mainline entry of the classical shmup franchise Gradius from 2004. More specifically the boss music during the rotating core in the narrow space:

The pacing and rhythm tells me that the music is most likely based on a galop (think The Lone Ranger theme).

I found one from the blues genre that sounds pretty similar to the overall structure of the song:
