The third installment in the Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, currently in development by retro-RPG maker Zeboyd Games (Breath of Death VII, Cthulhu Saves the World), now has a firm date with destiny. The game will be releasing on Steam and Xbox Live Indie Games July 10 and will be priced at $4.99 (or 400 MSP).
I’m very happy to know that the story Jerry Holkins started in the first game is going to see a conclusion in the same medium it started in. I appreciated the effort he put forth in writing content on the Penny Arcade website to close the series when it was determined that future installments would not be coming out of Hothead Studios, but this is what I really wanted.
Well, not quite; I would have probably preferred to have Hothead finish the trilogy series for consistency’s sake but, hell, take what you can get. I’d hardly call it “settling” to get another game from Zeboyd.
