How to get the FFXIV Ambitious Ends hairstyle 6.45

Luscious locks for almost nothing

Final Fantasy XIV dropped patch 6.45, so you know that means. There are new items, recipes, and even hairstyles for players to collect. For players mainly concerned with creating the ultimate avatar (ahem, me), you might want to know how you can unlock the new Ambitious Ends hairstyle in FFXIV right now.

How to get the Ambitious Ends hairstyle in FFXIV

Players can earn the new Ambitious Ends hairstyle by running the the Mount Rokkon variant dungeon. To unlock this dungeon, you first must beat the Endwalker main scenario story quest. With that step out of the way, head on over to Old Sharlayan.

Speak with the NPC at Old Sharlayan (X: 12.0, Y:13.3) to begin the quest “Mononoke Aware.” This will lead you to unlock Mount Rokkon, which is one of the Variant dungeons in this game. With that unlocked now, you will be able to earn the Ambitious Ends hairstyle.

To get it, you must turn in six Rokkon Potsherds to Trissant. You’ll find him in the same place you first accepted the Mount Rokkon quest in Old Sharlayan.

How to get Rokkon Potsherds

Getting Rokkon Potsherds requires running the Mount Rokkon dungeon multiple times. For each run that you fully complete of this dungeon, you get three Rokkon Potsherds. This essentially means that you must complete this dungeon twice in order to unlock the Ambitious Ends hairstyle.

That isn’t quite a lot, especially since runs won’t take you much longer than normal dungeons do. Once you have the required amount of Rokkon Potsherds, simply return to Trissant in Old Sharlayan and turn them in for this reward.

If you need some help running this dungeon, I suggest picking up some friends to help you out. While you can absolutely run Mount Rokkon by yourself, it is much faster if you have a team that is ready to tackle this dungeon in the quickest time possible.

There are 12 different possible routes in Mount Rokkon, so try out new routes each time that you run it. This will keep everything engaging and earn you a special reward in the long-run if you are able to finish all 12 routes, in addition to all of that precious Rokkon Potsherds currency.
