How to evolve Prismatic Missile into Luminaire in Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari

Vampire Survivors Luminaire

All of the colors

Tides of the Foscari is proving itself to be quite the DLC package for the hit indie game Vampire Survivors. With new weapons and characters to unlock, it’s a surefire crowd-pleaser for anyone out there who’s smitten with this game. With new weapons come new opportunities to evolve your armaments for the long haul. One of the best evolutions in Tides of the Foscari is Luminaire. But how do you get this colorful spell in your arsenal? Well, you need to do a little unlocking first.

Step 1: Unlock Luminaire

For some confusing reason, the developers decided to name two things in Vampire Survivors Luminaire. For this step, we’re talking about the character. Luminaire should be the fourth character you unlock in this DLC, after Eleanor, Maruto, and Keitha. Once you have Keitha, you’ll need to evolve her Flash Arrow into Millionaire and use it to destroy the Green Gem in the upper-righthand corner of the Lake Foscari map. Once that is destroyed, you’ll unlock a new map called Abyss Foscari. Once you open this map, switch over to Maruto and evolve his Eskizzibur (max Eskizzibur and max Armor) into Legionnaire.

Once you have Legionnaire, head down on the Abyss Foscari map until you can go no further. From there, head left along a series of columns and water until you hit a dead end in this direction. Go up from there, and you should reach a Red Gem. Use Legionnaire to destroy the gem (and survive the subsequent onslaught) to unlock Luminaire, whose main weapon is Prismatic Missle.

Step 2: Max Out Prismatic Missile

Luminaire is a pretty handy character to use. Not only does her Prismatic Missile do great damage in the early stages of a round, but she also clears the board every time she levels up. For anyone who’s played this game for some time, she’s kind of like an unlockable easy mode. As good as the Prismatic Missile is, its evolution is far better. So if you want access to Luminaire (the weapon), you’ll need to level up your Prismatic Missile to its max level.

Step 3: Max Out Crown

At the same time as you’re leveling up Prismatic Missile, you’ll want to be sure to add Crown to her passive items list. The Abyss Foscari map has a Crown in the overworld, so you don’t need to leave it to chance. Once you fully level both Prismatic Missle and Crown, unlocking the next treasure chest will give you Luminaire, which turns your enemies into different colored jewels (that sadly don’t actually increase their XP value.

Don’t forget to survive for at least 15 minutes with Luminaire to unlock Prismatic Missile for general use.
