NieR, Persona, Mega Man, and more
Well, there’s something for everyone today! Although it wasn’t a massive heavy-hitting first-party live-streamed Nintendo Direct with huge “reaction-worthy” reveals (it was a 26-minute Direct Mini that was dumped onto YouTube instantly), Nintendo did give us a good look at some upcoming games on Switch. It’s time for a good old-fashioned Nintendo Direct Mini recap.
Nintendo Direct Mini recap for June 2022:
- NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition will finally launch on Switch on October 6: it will include “previously released DLC, plus costumes exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version”
- Harvestella will arrive on Switch on November 4: it’s a “life-simulation RPG” with farming and crafting
- Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal are coming to Switch, with the latter set to debut on October 21, 2022
- Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is arriving on Switch on October 20 (hey, another October thing!)

- Capcom, who seems contractually obligated to appear in every Nintendo stream, reiterated its road map for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
- Portal: Companion Collection includes both core Portal games, with local, split-screen, and online co-op for Portal 2, and it arrives today
- Nintendo showed off more of Minecraft Legends, which is still due in 2023, among other platforms
- We got to see a bit more of the polarizing Sonic Frontiers
- Blanc, a “console exclusive” that features a fawn and wolf cub, is out in 2023
- Return to Monkey Island is still coming to Switch “later this year
- Disney Dreamlight Valley is out on September 6 in “early access” on Switch
- Dragon Quest Treasures will launch on December 9 as a spinoff entry
- Little Noah: Scion of Paradise is a roguelite action title that’s out today on Switch
- RPG Time: The Legend of Wright will release on August 18
- Lorelei and the Laser Eyes will “launch first for consoles on Switch” in 2023
- Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom is coming to Switch later this year
- Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is split into two volumes with ten total games across them, and is out in 2023
- Super Bomberman R 2 is on the way, and will launch on Switch in 2023 with 15-player support
- Pac-Man World Re-PAC is a remake of Pac-Man World and will launch on August 26
- Railgrade, a railway system builder, hits Switch “in the fall”
- Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions arrives on Switch on July 28
