TGIF Open Thread!

Hello, Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!

A sad week on Destructoid, unfortunately. If you have missed the latest events, Gamurs (Destructoid's new owners) fired our great Chris Moyse without any warning, without letting him write a goodbye post, without nothing. Simply plugged him off after many years of dedication, fantastic articles, and a good heart that build an entire community. Following that, the Destructoid community started immigrating to Cohost, a social media platform built by a small team of developers. A lot of us have moved there, and it has been great so far! So, if you want to keep in contact, come with us. It's not confirmed, but judging by what we've seen so far, it's likely that the Qtoid and the blogs will eventually stop working. We might also move TGIF to Cohost since long posts are allowed there and the hashtag system is very good for keeping the Dtoid community united.

With that out of the way, allow me then to talk about my week! I've finished reading the first edition of Heiresses of Russ, a collection of speculative sapphic short stories. Not all were great, but most of them were really good, so I'll definitely be checking out other editions.

I've watched Los Fuertes, a great Chilean gay romance set in the south of the country. It's hard to find romances in which the main characters have so much on-screen chemistry, so this was delightful!

NetherRealm (finally) announced the first Kombat Kast, scheduled for next Thursday, so I'm very excited to see what they'll reveal!
