TGIF Open Thread!

Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!

It's an extra good Friday for me as I took Thursday and Friday off this week just cause I wanted to. Needed a little break from work and I have a bunch of PTO saved up so why the hell not right? I'm definitely enjoying it. Been relaxing with the pups, working out and of course, getting some gaming in.

Since I finished Ni No Kuni 2, I started Ghostwire: Tokyo and I'm happy to say I'm really enjoying it! It's far from a home run but once you get used to the combat, that becomes pretty enjoyable. The side quests are hit and miss but the main missions are pretty good so far and I love the spooky, foggy, spirit filled atmoshpere. The game isn't scary but definitely gives off a good spooky vibe that I'm really into. I'm happy Tango took a break from straight up horror and gave us something unexpected and new.

Got a few plans this weekend that I'm half excited for. Saturday, not so excited. We got our tax money back sooo we're replacing all the tires on our car cause it's time. Hooray for upkeep? As a gift to ourselves for being responsible adults (lol) we'll be picking up that Hogwarts game cause the gf is a big Harry Potter fan and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in playing as an evil wizard myself haha. Sunday, we're going to go see the new Mario movie for free! Excited to see that so that's good at least.
