TGIF Open Thread!

Hello, Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!

My week felt even shorter than usual because of the holiday on Tuesday. Then got my second shot of the vaccine on Wednesday. No side effects beyond a short-lived pain in the arm, so double win 🙌🏻 It's still mandatory to wear masks everywhere but the government is considering abandoning the use of masks in public spaces.

I'm almost finished reading Scythe and, for spooky season, I've so far read two short stories: The Quiet Boy (which was published free on the internet in case anyone is interested; there's also a film called Antlers based on the story that was supposed to have launched already but you know, COVID; it's going release this month though) and Poe's William Wilson. Also got Il silenzio dei violini from my library; the place is far from great but at least it helps me discover some old relics.

With my Apex Legends addiction losing its grip on me, I've continued playing other games on my library and goddamn, Deacon from Days Gone is one of the worst game protagonists ever. If I give up on the game he will be the major reason 🙄
