TGIF Open Thread!

Hello, Destructoid! Queen here to remind everyone that today is that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!

It's fair to say that I ate a lot of chocolate this past week - no regrets! Family got together for a wee meal, we shared a couple of chocolate eggs, got drunk with wine (well, at least I did) and stayed safely at home. Grandma took her first dose of the vaccine but, of course, this is no reason to go out celebrating (not even accept the sisters' invitations for a cup of scald).

I'm officially part of a development team now - well, it's (probably) only for a month and it's for an educational game but I'm happy to finally be part of something that will give me some money!

Grandma and I watched Better Days, the Chinese's representative for the Oscars 2021, and I finally watched Mank. Goddamn, that film was boring! Still reading 1Q84, finish the first book a couple of days ago but still haven't reached the 50% mark. Can't complain much, it's a good book despite being quite weird in some aspects.

Probably going to watch more films during the weekend, study more languages (found a nice German website that writes news in a language that's easier for newbies to follow, so I'm trying to keep the habit of reading at least one article per day). Not much else we can do with the country breaking death records by COVID-19 every day. Hospitals in my city are full and my father (he's a physiotherapist) said we're running out of oxygen as well.
